These are some reasons you may see an error while pairing your Wearsafe Tag SOS Button to your smartphone, and ways to address each before trying to pair again:
- The Tag SOS Button and smartphone were taken too far apart during pairing
- Keep the device and the phone within 1 foot (30 cm) of each other during pairing.
- Bluetooth® in your phone or Tag deactivated during the pairing process.
- Do not turn off your phone or turn off your phone's Bluetooth until after pairing completes.
- Remove and reinstall the Tag's battery, then try again.
- The smartphone was previously paired to this Tag and the Tag was not fully unpaired before trying the pairing process
- Active Bluetooth settings have become unusable on your smartphone.
- Restart your iPhone, or on Android, use the "Restart Bluetooth" button in the Wearsafe App. If you use Android and you have tried restarting Bluetooth twice, try restarting your phone.
- A previously paired phone connected to your Tag during the pairing process with your current phone.
- Turn off any other phones you have paired with this device.
- or Turn off Bluetooth on those phones.
- or Unpair your Tag from those phones
- The battery in your Tag finished draining while trying to pair
- Replace the battery
- The Wearsafe App needs to be updated
- Install any updates to the Wearsafe App available in the App Store or Play Store
- The Tag's firmware needs to be updated
- Follow any instructions shown in the Wearsafe App to complete the firmware update.
- Your smartphone's Bluetooth software is incompatible with the Tag
- Install any updates to the OS on your phone
