Congratulations on signing up for the Wearsafe Service! There are a few important things we wanted to cover with you so you can get the most out of your device.
Adding our alerts to your contacts
First, add our Wearsafe Alerts info to your phone's Contacts. This will make sure that you receive our notifications and know where the message is coming from. Our email notifications deliver from alert@wearsafe.com and our SMS messages deliver from shortcode 33947 in the US, or from +1 (860) 956-9362 internationally.
Using the Wearsafe Tag SOS Button
1. Check-ins
A Check-in is a simple way to let one or more of your Contacts know where you are using your Wearsafe SOS Button. To perform a Check-in, press the button on the front of the Tag SOS Button once. A single, quick press is all you need.
The Tag will vibrate once to let you know that the Check-in was sent.
2. Red Alerts
A Red Alert should be used when you need immediate help from your Contacts, who can contact the right professional emergency workers. Your designated Contacts and the Account Owner are all notified and can engage and respond when you initiate a Red Alert.
To start a Red Alert, press and hold the button on the front of the Tag.
The Tag will vibrate to confirm that the Red Alert was sent. After a few moments, you will notice additional vibrations each time a new Contact views the alert.
Note: It may take up to 60 seconds for your paired smartphone to get a GPS lock and send a Red Alert notification to your Contacts.
Closing Red Alerts
If you ever trigger a Red Alert accidentally, or when your emergency situation is over, you can close the alert from the Wearsafe App.
- Open the Wearsafe App.
- On the home screen, slide the red ! button left.
- If the map View opens from a notification in the app, tap the Close Alert button in the bottom right corner of the screen, then tap OK on the confirmation dialog.
- The Wearsafe SOS Button will vibe, and audio and location recording will stop.
