How can I make Wearsafe use less of my phone battery?

Wearsafe works hard to make sure we use the minimum amount of battery while running in the background, waiting for your alert. Typically, this is 1-3% of total battery usage on a charge.

To save battery power, make sure that you do not have any active Red Alerts. Open alerts activate your location services, microphone, and transmit data to your Contacts via the Wearsafe Safety System, increasing battery use. You can tell an alert is open right on the home screen of the Wearsafe App.
