I was invited to be a Contact, what does that mean?

An Account Owner has decided that you are someone they trust. Whether they want to notify you where they are with a Check-in or assist in an urgent Red Alert, you can provide your friend or family member with support.

In the text message and email invitation you received, there is a link. Follow that link to confirm your name and preferred contact information. This information will be used only to contact you during Check-ins and Alerts.

You can expect one text message and email for each Check-in, and one text message and email at the start and end of each Red Alert. Texts will arrive from shortcode 33947 for US phones or [phone] internationally, and emails arrive from [e-mail]. To make sure they aren't discarded as spam, we recommend adding [e-mail], 33947, and [phone] to your phone's contacts.
