Using Siri Shortcuts voice activation requires iOS 12 or newer on an iPhone or iPad with Siri enabled. For the best experience, we recommend enabling Hey Siri and allowing Siri from the lock screen. To use voice activation of Check-ins and Red Alerts, you can install the Wearsafe Siri Shortcuts.
During initial setup of the Wearsafe App on an iPhone, a screen offers you voice activation. Enabling this allows Siri to send instructions to the Wearsafe App.
If you have already set up your Wearsafe account, you can also enable the Siri Shortcuts.
- Tap the menu button in the top left
- Tap Devices
- Scroll to the Enable Voice Shortcuts section
- Tap + Send Check In to add the Siri Shortcut.
- On the new screen, you can modify the default phrase, "Tell Wearsafe to send a Check In". Tap Add to Siri. You will return to the main Devices screen and see a section Voice Shortcuts Enabled with Send Check In listed.
Tap + Send Red Alert to add the Siri Shortcut. - On the new screen, you can modify the default phrase, "Tell Wearsafe to send an Alert". Tap Add to Siri. You will return to the main Devices screen and see a section Voice Shortcuts Enabled with Send Red Alert listed.
Once you have added the shortcuts to Siri, you can activate Siri at any time and say the phrase to send Check-ins or Red Alerts using your voice.
